Performance evaluation in self-learning virtual environment of English in the University of Informatics Sciences.

Abstract
While new learning environments are appearing, students or users have found the possibility of having autonomy
over the management of their knowledge. Learning is becoming more personalized every moment. The conception of
the categories of the didactics has been rearranged. However, there haven´t been enough work on the evaluation
system. There for, the benefices that its functions could offer toward learning are not completely cover yet.
The University of Informatics Sciences has specific characteristics giving the evaluation a special impact on students
leaning. The components of the system of educative influences don´t act coherently. There is a high labor practice
activity in the productive projects since the first years of the studies. Learning English language is a priority at the
university.
There were created the Centers for Self-leaning and Services of Foreign Languages. They have the design of learning
environments. Their objective is to reinforce foreign languages learning in the formation of informatics engineers.
These centers have as main sceneries a virtual learning environment named Virtual Self-learning Environment Center
in Moodle platform. The blended and distance methods are developed; this is the reason why it is necessary to
structure a performance evaluation system that doesn’t bring with it years of non-conformities with traditional
methods.
