Management by Values in the Regional Faculty of de University of Informatics Sciences of Ciego de Ávila

Abstract

The Management has evolved in recent years to have as central political to the values business, many organizations that are currently defined in its organizational principles, but do not have a strategy for its implementation. The Management though values is one of the philosophies of business management most often used in today's world and in Cuba it has being given the first steps. Models designed and implemented in other countries constitute a reference. It is a necessity the development of a new management model through values, adapted to the conditions of the Cuban economy. The present investigation proposes a procedure to implement a model of management through values in the Regional Faculty of Informatics Science of Ciego de Ávila to increase the performance of management processes and the effectiveness of organizational leadership.

The Model of Administration through Values consists of four phases and ten stages, these are: the diagnosis of the current situation of the organization; the definition or revision of the mission, values and vision of the organization; leadership development based on values and the continuous improvement of model. The obtained results were sustained on the base on a study of the main definitions and thematic that the administration approaches: administration models through values, their limitations and strengths, management by objectives and leadership, adapting them to the conditions Cuban organizations. A diagnostic of the Regional Faculty of Ciego de Ávila is carried pointing out the principal problems for each service, an analysis DAFO is also carried out and the level of leadership that holds the organization is calculated.
